Yes of course!

Materials are heavily considered within the design and making process. Where an item falls on the body deciferes how much wear and tear may impact your jewellery. In addition, to make items more cost effective, there may be varied material elements within one piece if gold plated. This will always be within the item description.

If you decide you would like to have an item in solid gold or an alternative material, this can be achieved with the price upon request.

Please do not hesitate to get in contact.

MONT does not do fully bespoke orders at this time. However there is room to manoeuver with the existing pieces. Using alternative metals, adding gemstones or a personal touch. Please see the made to order service for more information.

This is something that can be arranged, yes!

Over time no amount of cloth buffing will get the shine back up to its original state and sadly gold plating will eventually wear off. How you take care of your jewellery will determine its wear and tear... get some some tips here.

MONT offers a repolish/replating service on a case by case basis. Get in contact and we can look at your needs from there.

Sustainability

Each stage has been given due consideration when it comes to sustainability.

The design process - which can take place in a very hands on and 3D driven approach, often uses the old art form of sand casting. This consists of melting down the same metals repeatedly to create a master with a sand compacted mould. Reusing metals, in a cycle, that dates back to my personal stash from 2006 - still going strong!

A limited number of stock items are available on the website at one time, keeping up with a balance of demand and minimising wastage.

My supply chain is mainly based in Hatton Garden and around London, resulting in local and recycled materials where possible.

In my personal life I do my best to use eco friendly products and use recycling schemes which I reflect in the workshop also. The silver dust filed off the pieces is also kept and sent off, to be reused again.

If you have any tips to add so together we can continue to do our best, please get in touch!

MONT jewellery donates regularly to help Ecologi's vision of tree planting and carbon reduction. In addition, 3 trees are planted with every individual item that you purchase. Please check in on our progress.

Every step of the packaging has been thought through. The parcel boxes and jewellery boxes are FSC approved. The tissue paper, parcel tape, business cards and care guidelines are all recyclable.

Being in line with the care of your jewellery, it is a good idea to keep hold of your jewellery box (with silica gel pack) and use it to store your piece. The silica helps to keep out any moisture and storing your jewellery well adds longevity.

Please note the first short round of jewellery boxes were not FSC approved, due to a focus on quality and an alternative option not being available at the time. These are still in circulation. However, MONT jewellery is ecstatic to state the switch going forward!

MONT personally constructs every piece from the studio and uses recycled metals in the process where possible.

All gemstones are ethical and conflict free, from trusted suppliers.

Supporting the local trade, most materials are sourced in the UK. London's jewellery quarter, Hatton Garden is our biggest supplier. The casting company are based in North London.
